Mid-October already

Today Asher & I are home sick. Asher’s watching Chinese Teletubbies and I’m at a bit of a loss for something productive to do.
The above is a picture of Asher in Japan.
Recently I’ve been using Supermemo to memorise stuff I need to know for work. It’s a pretty cool program, but it has a learning curve in itself. Very powerful for those who know what they’re doing, unlike me.

My del.icio.us page
Saturday, August 18th, 2007Don’t forget to check out the bookmarks at my del.icio.us page.
I’m gradually organising them into tags. Most of the language stuff has all been sorted into their respective languages. I didn’t appreciate the importance of tagging at the time, so going back all takes a bit of time.
Home for lunch
Thursday, August 9th, 2007Right now I’m home for lunch. My lunch break these days is an hour & 10 minutes.
Lovely.
Asher loves a cuddle (so does Daddy)

Hi all, I’ve been a bit busy to think of anything much to post here recently. When all else fails, add a photo.
Doublebooked

I was saying that I have time on my hands, I can spend time on writing my book (truth be known I was worried about even getting enough work).
Well, for the first time since embarking on this role as a sessional English teacher I’ve found myself with too much work on my hands. I’ve had to turn down offers for work because of commitments at other schools.
I had no idea this would happen so soon.
Praise God for his mercy and grace towards me.
What am I doing these days?
Thursday, July 12th, 2007More or less as a result of our experience in China last year which I’ve talked about a little bit on this blog already, I have recently started teaching English here in Melbourne on a sessional basis. This is with a number of different schools, mostly close to our home in the inner city.
It requires quite a bit of preparation and that my knowledge of English and teaching methods to stay up to date, but it’s an exciting challenge and one which I intend to tackle head-on.
Since I’m not working five days a week I do have some time to work on my book, which in recent times has been making nice progress (at other times it sits on the shelf for months on end). I won’t go into what the subject matter is, but when it’s finished I’ll definitely include some details about it on here.
Big thanks to those of you who have been praying for me during these changing times.
I looked up my birthday in Wikipedia
Thursday, June 28th, 2007It’s interesting how many birthdays (and deathdays) of famous people can be found for any given date.
Try looking up your own birthday! I did it by going here and just changing the URL. March 13 isn’t my real birthday, I’ve put a different one here because I know it is all you need to access someone’s account with some utilities companies over the telephone.
